Today, after having submitted a portfolio for my photography class and reflecting on my work, I came to realise that I have been writing on this blog for a little over a year now. The reason this blog even existed in the first place was that, a little over a year ago, my husband gave me a DSLR camera as a birthday present— and the rest, as they say, was history.

I wanna take the time to say thank you to everyone who commented and expressed  appreciation for  my photos. Thank you, most especially to those who took the time to write constructive criticisms to help me get better at this craft. Within the last year, I believe I have grown a lot in photography but I know there are still a lot of things to learn and improve. And yet,  I am proud of what I have learnt and achieved so far in such a short period of time.  For this new year, I promise to work harder in improving my photography and to keep sharing my journey with you through this blog.

As a throwback for my first year of dabbling in photography, here are some of my images that won local photo competitions last year. :)

  1. Stunning photos. I always love to look at what you’ve submitted for the weekly challenges. I’ve been meaning to get back into them, and now that I have just received my first digital SLR camera for Christmas, I will begin the same journey you’ve been completing. Keep up the great work! I look forward to seeing more beautiful photos :)

    • Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it a lot! Have fun playing with your new camera and I’ll be looking forward to seeing your works! :))
