Here are some pictures from our recent trip to Skagen, the northernmost town of Denmark, known as the Land of Light. The town owes its title to its special, otherworldly form of light that is unique to that place. For years, Skagen has drawn artists from all over the world to capture this place’s spectacular views. The town has been an inspiration to many artists’ masterpiece; the raw beauty of its nature a masterpiece in itself.
At Grenen, the northernmost point of Denmark where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet- One can literally stand on two seas at once!
Beautiful horizon over the western side of the peninsula, overlooking Skaggerak/North Sea
A symphony of blues and orange in the sky while the sun sets
A flock of seagulls flying over the east coast of Grenen
The view towards the east side of Grenen. The sea gulls, magical sky, clear water and beautiful lighthouse make this postcard perfect
The view from the tip of Denmark. A narrow strip of sand separates the North Sea and the Baltic Sea
The sun setting over the North Sea; the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen.
A breathtaking view of the sunset. A masterpiece indeed.
Hello from the tip of Denmark! :)
Masterpiece. No matter where you are (and where you’ve been), I’m certain you’ve stumbled upon something extraordinary: a place that blows your mind; a work of art or object that speaks to you; or even a location or scene that’s special, unusual, or even magical in some way.
